Eildon Housing Association

Head Office; Ettrick Mill, Selkirk

GHI were appointed by the Eildon Housing Association to create a new office headquarters in Selkirk, in conjunction with their design team, Gray Marshall & Partners, and Doig & Smith. The project required the complete strip-out and extensive modernisation of the former Weaving Shed, adjacent to Scottish Enterprise Border’s Business Centre at Ettrick Riverside.

Prior to the fit-out, initial works included a new steel support structure and upgraded foundations, as well as a new lift shaft, replacement windows and replacement mid-floor.

The two storey interior, incorporating a new dining and break-out area and was completely fitted-out with partitions, floor finishes, ceilings and bespoke joinery, in addition to extensive building services, including power supply, mechanical air distribution and lighting. Externally GHI were responsible for  an upper terrace and extensive groundworks and landscaping, which combined to deliver a modern, attractive working environment in natural surroundings.
