The refurbishment of the lower ground to fourth floor of 206 St. Vincent Street in Glasgow city centre, for client's, Royal Insurance UK Ltd, was a project delivered to a high BREEAM rating, while adhering to the stringent criteria of Historic Scotland for this listed building.
GHI, working with architects, GD Lodge and F&C Property Asset Management, extensively upgraded this property installing glazed curtain walling to form a new atrium, fitting slde and sash double glazed windows on all floors, modernising the passenger lifts, as well as creating a new reception and lobby.
All building services systems including: power supply, air conditioning, lighting and a roof mounted chiller were renewed and a custom built plant room was installed on the lower ground floor.
Working closely with the design team, GHI ensured all DDA compliance issues were addressed, and transformed this property into a modern office environment of the highest standard.
