The Scottish Government

Saughton House, Edinburgh

Following a long history of working directly for the Scottish Government at Saughton House, GHI has been awarded all three phases of the current refurbishment programme, each          separately and competitively tendered.

Working with Space Solutions and Mitie Technical Facilities Management, GHI have                    delivered Phases 1 & 2 to the client ahead of programme,  with Phase 3 on target for a              similarly reduced programme time. 

Phase 1            2 spurs        8 week programme - completed   8 weeks.
Phase 2            6 spurs      22 week programme - completed 16 weeks.
Phase 3            5 spurs      22 week programme - projected   16 weeks.

The spurs (as the distinctive Saughton House wings are named) are each completely stripped out and then refurbished as modern workspaces with full M & E services, glazed offices,                suspended ceilings, flooring and decoration. This work, to approx 54.000 sqft of                           accommodation, has been carried out during normal working hours, in a fully occupied,           working building and in adherence with The Scottish Government’s stringent security regime.
