Department: Projects

Reporting to: Projects Director

Hours of Work: 40 hours (basic – 08:30 to 17.30 hrs)
Day/Shift Work: Day (occasional out of hours involvement required where project dictates)
Mobility: Travel to where project is based. (Main Office location: Bellshill)

 

Role Description:
The role consists of implementing and leading the management and control of projects, preparation of tenders / costs to the client’s brief, as well as providing technical support as necessary.

The Project Manager is required to deliver projects within cost, quality and set timescales, and is responsible for the management of all site staff, including sub-contractors.

 

Qualifications & Experience:
The candidate will hold a recognised qualification pertinent to the post, in a suitable engineering or construction based discipline, (typically – HNC, HND, Degree)

 

A track record of delivering the design and management of multi disciplined projects can be demonstrated, with the following skills evident:

Department: Projects

Day/Shift Work: Dependent upon project requirements
Mobility: Travel to where project is based  

 

Role Description:
The role consists of day to day control of GHI on-site staff, sub-contractors, materials and workmanship throughout the duration of a project, to ensure project completion within cost, expected quality and timescales, to customer expectations.

 

The Site Manager will provide technical support to the Project Manager and to the client as necessary, procure and manage tools, equipment and materials to ensure continuity of work in accordance with programme and budget.

 

Additionally the Site Manager will recruit site labour in agreement with the project manager to meet the project’s specific needs and manage site health & safety in compliance with HSE, as well as ensuring other areas potentially affected by our activities are addressed.

 

The Site Manager will assist the Project Manager with the development of schedules and programmes of work for approval and implementation, changes to materials, conditions of work, deviations from programme, or other conditions that may arise, that are likely to impact on the successful completion of a project.

 

They will carry out administration of the contract to ensure continuity of work flow (Purchase Orders, Remittance, Timesheets, etc) within authorised delegation.

 

Qualifications & Experience:
The candidate will be suitably skilled in a relevant trade and have an awareness of other trades, as well as an understanding of and ability to work within budgetary constraints (manning levels, material costs, etc).

A track record of site management, leading and motivating a site team to achieve agreed results, on a diversity of projects should be demonstrated, with the following skills evident:
